Checking the Status of a Tax Return

Before checking the status of a tax return be sure to Transmit to Central Site. To check the status of a tax return use the following directions.

1. Open the tax return.

2. Navigate to the Information Status Page.

3. Reference the applicable section (Fed Electronic Filing, State Electronic Filing, Amended Return Electronic Filing). If a federal/state/amended return has never been transmitted there will be no code and no transmission date.

An accepted return will display an A for accepted.

A rejected return will display an R for rejected.

To determine when the return was last transmitted reference the Transmit field.

To determine when the return was accepted reference the ACK Date.
