Typically, if a taxpayer is receiving a refund and having the preparation fees taken out of their refund by using a Bank Product, they also will include their state refund as well.
Selecting this Refund Type is easy. Navigate to the applicable state efile declaration form (usually Form 8453 or Form 8879).
Do not get this confused with the Federal Form 8879. Make sure you are navigating to the state efile declaration, not the federal form.
Find the Refund Type Indicator and Select option 3 (State RT).
Selecting this option, will automatically attach that state's refund to your Bank Application/Product. Depending on what delivery option you choose on your bank application will determine how that refund will be delivered (either check, direct deposit, etc).
Tip: When choosing the state refund type to be included with any bank product (state RT), if the state refund gets deposited before the federal refund, the preparation fees and any advance product will be deducted from the state refund, first.
